A Leader, VOLUNTEER,
and Problem solver.
About Carol
Carol Vella is a businesswoman, mother, and community leader running for Justice of the Peace, District 8, in Benton County. In her day job promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion and in her extensive community volunteer work, Carol advocates for those who may not have a seat at the table.
Carol is running because she knows the challenges families face in Bentonville. As a foster parent and refugee co-sponsor, she’s seen how hard it can be to build a life here. As Justice of the Peace, Carol will invest our county budget in areas that will help our residents thrive: affordable housing, childcare, public transportation, healthcare, and much more.

SUPPORTING CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
Carol will work to increase access to child care for working parents so our families, businesses, and economy can thrive and grow. With more affordable options, we can keep parents in the workforce while providing their children with quality care.
TRANSPORTATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE
Improved roads and public transportation benefit everyone. With better, consistently-maintained roads, we can reduce traffic and make our streets safer for all. With increased public transportation options, those without cars can get to jobs, and our air quality improves…
CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM
In Benton County, our prisons are crowded by pretrial stays and small drug offenses. The solution isn’t to raise taxes to build more jails; the solution is to address these challenges at the source. We can improve pretrial services, implement bail reform, and fund a robust drug court program to reduce the number of people who enter our jails and prisons in the first place…
